Comments Thread For: Vergil Ortiz: I'd Love The Maurice Hooker Title Fight

Vergil Ortiz insisted throughout fight week that he was fully prepared to fast track his career from prospect to the title stage by year's end. I don't know about whooping Booker. Booker has a crafty technique in his offense. I like what I'm seeing in Ortiz but imo it's too early for him to have his first title fight

If the chin checks out, then he's beating Hooker simple as that. This dude is the truth.

At this stage I doubt he gets past Alex Saucedo...let alone Hooker.

Agreed it should be here in Dallas, both kids have their fan base, and it would be an interesting clash of styles.

In another news, wasn't Pablo Cesar Cano in front of the line vs Hooker? that belt was promised to Linares or Cano. but either way it will be a good fight.
