I'd say we have to start with the colonies and maybe even before given localization and the tall tales that are said to cause them.
We've a US football team called the Minnesota Vikings, The state capital has a statue of Leif Ericson outside of the capitol building. Them boys is either the blood of vikings or they believe they are.
The dutch in the north and a bit east, the English pushed them west but not west enough for midwest.
The English in New England, basically the eastern coast.
The Irish come into New England.
France is way west for the eastern colonies, midwest in the current US.
Spain owned Florida and the west west of France.
Russia and China kicked around the far west, Cali to Alaska.
The southland, Dixie, would be populated Natives. It was the frontier way, way before the west or Oregon. You've got your Creek, your Cherokee, Chickasaw, and Choctaw.
Alright. I trust you know about the wars? The Beaver war, French-Indian war? Revolution? That sort of thing goes on.
The colonies are set.
Early American politics centers around two things. Natives and immigration. Got to push the native west, also we have to stop the Europeans from settling in the states.
Yeah, I can't hardly explain why early America hates Europeans like present America does Mexicans, but they do. The Natives would get pushed back to the west for the most part. There were a few tribes of Tennessee allowed to stay in Tennessee because they were so peaceful, but, for the most part to the western deserts with youse natives.
Boxing was considered a violent european import not fit for American society.
Make note of how the east uses the west like a dumping ground. Also, who is on the east atm? English, Irish, Dutch and some Germans for the most part. In the west we have Russia, China, Spain, France, and now the vast majority of US native population. It's important to culture.
Right after we push the natives west the Irish flood in. The Irish change American demographics, culture, and political policy. They lived mostly in New England taking jobs under English-Americans who owned factories. I don't think I need to explain why the Irish and English would get along in America, they understand each other.
In the south, as far as ethnics go, a real true blue mix. We got some Irish looking to live off the land, some French and English plantation owners, some Spanish from back when Spain was trying to kick out the Natives, and the Natives themselves trying to remain.
Obviously in the plantations those workers were ******. The Irish immigration really picks up after the natives are pushed west. The Irish would quite like to work on farms and be paid money. Abolition begins in the north. Personally, I feel like the Irish-Americans were clever about it because they did not appeal to the aristocrat's wallet nor morality but rather their fears. The working class of the north would get the gentry of the north on board with the idea that if slavery is not stopped or at least curbed then America would become a black nation.
Civil ****in' War boys. I'm not saying the war was not over slavery. That's revisionism done by my folk because they're embarrassed. I reckon I am less so because I am Puerto Rican and my actual family at the time is on the Island...being ****ed up by Spain and then becoming Christian-Spanish citizens.
Here's the thing about the Civil you guys probably don't cover. The south didn't really anticipate winning. They had no equipment, their army was tiny compared to the union, and their allies were nonexistent. The south, the richer south anyway, planned to fight the Northern forces long enough to get their operations moved west. So as the north pushed in the south moved west. Except the poor bastards who were poor and nonessential staff. They got left behind to deal with the North and the North was pissed. They burned down our cities, ****d and murderer our children, and slaughtered their captives. Some real hate come from that. Hell, just thinking on it makes me want to find a yank and whoop him twice on principle.
Took note of the east using the west as a dumping ground? Now the west consists of treasonist traitors who ain't even got the stones to stand and fight. Russia and China are all but out of the US. It's important to note their people and culture continued to come to the US just in less and less numbers. It keeps the west in a constant state of unorganized and hardly ruled. Basically lawless.
France is out of the US, they're Canada now. Spain is likewise gone, Mexico now.
We ain't even done yet though. The Civil War and the issues between the north and south in the eastern half of America were vehement and passionate but there isn't much more history to cover I don't think. From the civil forward the north and south do not get along and even to this day American trade ties favor the north east to the south east.
When Edison invented film, and **** you yes he did don't tell me about some half assed prototype that didn't actually work but rather only proves concept found years after the fact, Edison invents film and with it the movie. Tom works out of New Jersey, that's north east as ****. Folks want to be able to make movies but can not afford Tom's fees. The thing about early ***ish America is they were not allowed to work many jobs. Not many Americans are going to hire a *** over an Irish because of Christianity. I don't reckon it ever got as bad as it was in Europe just before the formation of America. I don't know that they were targeted for discrimination any more than Irish folk but they certainly were less christian and that made it harder for poor ***s to get working jobs. That left ***s with very little options. They could be bankers, ***elers, tailors, entertainers, and restaurateurs. Most of them require a little start up coin.
It'd be the ***ish population that took Edison's invention and fled west, way west, all the way to Cali, to Hollywood. The founded Hollywood and told Mister Edison to send the Sheriff for his money. Of course the police could not get out to them and so they were able to make their films and distribute them across the US.
This sort of action is reflected in all sorts of boxing history. Basically any criminal boxer who made a name went west and more west as the lawman came.
Eventually the Northeast's inability to control the west causes some level of frustration. Multiple times in American history the US Army is sent west to put down a US militia. It's not a civil war because the west could not organize themselves well enough to form one force. It was the US Army going west and busting up posses and such. I reckon the most famous of these gangs or militias would be the Vigilance Committee. You can read on them if y'all want to know more.
Agains, the US Army is a bastard to those they defeat. The west having less infrastructure is less ruined by the attacks and are able to rebuild themselves, organize, and become real states.
I am a johnny reb. I'd rather lose a fight I shouldn't have started in the first place than run like a coward. I use an even hand and after I done smacked a man down I gives him my hand to lift him back up. North, bunch of vindictive women lucky they have numbers. West, bunch of yella bellies whose grans ran away.
I don't think I've left anything out...I reckon more modern lines are derivative from the old. Like the east coast west coast rap wars thing. The entertainment industry was born in a world were the east coast and west coast entertainers do not get along and see one another as their only threat to supremacy.
For Deontay Wilder, being a black man from dixie, the whole rest of the nation has something to prove against him. What did I say about the north? Women folk right? Well hell if my folk reckon your folk is womurnz then ain't you half wanting to prove to me your mettle? What did I say about the west? Coward ass cow chasers riding on the coattails of a man's culture. They too would want to state their prowess. They do not want a Dixie boy, especially a black reb like Wilder, steamrolling the planet anymore then English folk want to see Irish steamrolling the planet. Because it makes any argument ****ed. You can't claim English superiority when the English and the rest of the planet is flat on their backs can you?
especially black not just because of the obvious racism in America but also the white fear that they actually bred their own destruction. He's a double dose of got something to prove going for him.
On top of that who is the world's okay'd culture to make fun of? Is it ok to laugh at Africans doing some tribal ****? Natives? Black culture? European culture? Making fun of ****s is even being censored, but y'all can still laugh at Cletus without no shame right? I ain't *****ing, I am proud we're the last folk who don't cry. But consider that for a second, how did we become the world's joke? Are the cowboys with tiki torches or lib with blue hair actually smarter? Of ****in' course they're not. That came from the US. That came from Dixie coming up short in the civil and finding themselves without friends both locally and internationally.
So here you have a man who in his home nation will struggle to be taken seriously, will find plenty with a chip on their shoulder looking to use him to make an example, and whose home base is not only the smallest in the country but also the poorest.
And that's why I ain't about to hear no bull**** about him being at home anywhere in the US. He's at home in Bama and the surrounding states. No where else.Comment
