Damn there’s a lot of UK posters sticking up for DAZN every time a PPV gets announced. Weird since you guys can’t get DAZN. Why do you care what we do with our money?

        It's not great

If DAZN do the same at some stage i will criticize them for it, but ESPN and Showtime take the piss adding PPV AFTER a subscription fee

Is there any decent shows on showtime anyway?

(edit, not there isn't, at least on HBO you got game of thrones)

It’s a very questionable PPV but it cost Arum something like five million for Khan alone and Crawford has to be getting at least the same. It’s impossible to put that on regular ESPN or ESPN+ and not take a massive financial bath.

At least with DAZN you're only expected to pay a single $9.99 fee for everything.
It's like Showtime. You pay the $10 a month and then you pay for the Paquiao Broner card. Just ESPN+ is only $5 or $50 for the year if you buy the whole year at once

Showtime has Shameless. It’s pretty hilarious. Showtimes pretty much on par with HBO on the quality of programming.

****** having to pay extra on top of a “premium” network subscription fee though to watch a fight.

DAZN cards are garbage. You get at the minimum 2 cards a month, that's 2 days out of 30 and nothing more. All their other content is garbage. DAZN is $9.99 but ESPN+ is half the price and offer way more content on a daily basis. There is always something on for you to watch. Other than Canelo big fights, DAZN has nothing big, just look at the next card coming up

Yup and they pay for every decent fight over in the UK. Even if its only around $25, they still add up to what US fans pay for 2 or 3 a year.

What else do you get to watch on DAZN besides Hearn's garbage cards? Could you open up the app at this moment and watch something you want to watch? It's ****** to compare a premium channel to DAZN, for the matter even ESPN+ which is half the price. DAZN offer nothing on a daily basis compared to other content Showtime and ESPN offer. Other than the Canelo/Jacobs fight, DAZN cards have been garbage, especially Hearn's.

SHO doesn't have any good shows? Is that a joke? #Billions is arguably the best show out right now, then you have others like Shameless/Black Monday/The Chi/etc.

But I'm just so glad folks can STOP lumping ESPN+ and DAZN together in that they are going to change boxing by killing PPVS. Arum not once said that was going to happen. He just lost out on Pacquiao and before that Pacquiao was fighting overseas so he wasn't on PPV. If Arum still had Pacquiao fighting stateside, then his fights would be on PPV. Crawford vs Khan is obviously PPV and then he even mentioned Lomachenko/Berchelt as a potential PPV fight in 2019. Oh yeah, if they get GGG, he has said he wants the fight with Zurdo on PPV.

People thought Canelo going to DAZN killed PPVs, but in fact it did the opposite. It opened up slots for other fighters to get on the PPV scene. Boxing still has the over 40 club that has no problem paying for PPVs. They aren't all of sudden going to stop paying for it just because Canelo is on DAZN now. They just will buy other PPVs.

We will be getting the first ESPN PPV in a good while and a FOX PPV soon. Those are two huge platforms that will be promoting their shows like crazy. Will be interested in seeing the type of numbers they do. If they do good? We will get more PPVs, not less.
