Ill be straight up,I think his injury was an overblown excuse to honeymoon retire(wifey) for 2 yrs & still keep his straps,in the hopes that he can watch how the smoke clears between the actual top dogs Spence/Crawford & everyone else. I read between the lines & I noticed he said he wanted to "take a yr off 4 long walks on the beach with new wifey" in response to Spence verbally pulling his chain on live Tv. Hes ALWAYS acted suspect,& now hes talking bout he learned from floyd(meaning hes trying to copy what he perceives fmj did by retiring) the difference was fmj didnt blatantly duck nobody like Thurman has no qualms about doing from day 1.
