Comments Thread For: Lopez: Thurman is '1' at 147? Then Give Me 2 Through 5!

Thurman got off to a fast start with a second-round knockdown, withstood a big seventh round from Lopez, and regained control to improve to 29-0. It was the WBA champion's first fight since March 4, 2017, before he was sidelined first by right elbow surgery and then an injured left hand.

If Josesito gets another fight or two against anyone who is Top 5 anytime soon because of this fight, I'm happy for him getting a chance to be on the big stage again and get paid more than he normally would. But he's crazy if he thinks he actually has a chance to beat anyone on that level or that he can duplicate that kind of performance against a mid-season form (couldn't think of another way to put it) Keith Thurman.

Thurman still top dog, but he doesn`t beat Pacquiao, Crawford and Spence. He will lose when he fights them.

Lopez fought killers like canelo and chino to the death, if he is saying this he feels these younger guys don't have levels

Agree. Josesito was stopped with Canelo, Maidana, Berto. If he says Thurman is nothing special, than it must be the truth.

Laughable. Lopez had 1.5 good rounds vs a guy coming back from a pretty serious injury. A guy who hasn't fought in nearly 2 years. He lost just about every round.

If he fights Thurman pre injury he gets stopped easy. He's overlooking the facts. 1 good round don't mean a guys overrated.

I think the only guy who would worry Thurman is Spence. He destroys Pacquiao. Crawford hasn't beat any legit WW to be worried about him.
