Why the **** is Tony Yoka rated 11 by the WBC?

5-0, his last fight was a 10tko over Allen in june of 2018.

The WBC add Yoka to their ranking sometime between Jan 16 and 20.

    1. Dillian Whyte
    2. Luis Ortiz
    3. Tyson Fury
    4. Dominic Breazeale
    5. Joseph Parker
    6. Agit Kabayel
    7. Alexander Povetkin
    8. Adam Kownacki
    9. Dereck Chisora
    10. Hughie Fury
    11. Charles Martin
    12. Carlos Takam
    13. Bryant Jennings
    14. Oscar Rivas
    15. Sergey Kuzmin

    1. Dillian Whyte
    2. Tyson Fury
    3. Luis Ortiz
    4. Dominic Breazeale
    5. Joseph Parker
    6. Agit Kabayel
    7. Alexander Povetkin
    8. Adam Kownacki
    9. Kubrat Pulev
    10. Carlos Takam
    11. Tony Yoka
    12. Dereck Chisora
    13. Charles Martin
    14. Bryant Jennings
    15. Sergey Kuzmin

As you can see from the 9th slot onward there's changes. Chisora got dropped down, Pulev added, Hughie dropped entirely, Martin, Takam, and Jennings made sleight moves, and Rivas was dropped entirely while Yoka added.

    What the **** happened?

12, 13 & 14 all coming off L's recently. Yoka staying inactive has just caused him to move up by default

Maybe a big promoter greased their hands as they are going to cherrypick Yoka as a credible, number 11 ranked opponent?

Who promotes/manages him? That would answer a lot of your questions.

Because he was a fraud as an amateur and is continuing to be a fraud in the pro ranks. He's already the worst super heavyweight olympic gold medalist and pound for pound one of the worst olympic medalists of all time. He's not even a serious pro prospect in my book. Joyce, Hrgovic, Ajagba and even Dychko would destroy him if they were to fight right now. He's going to make Audley Harrison's pro career look like a success.

Well then how is Ortiz number 3?

Beat Jennings years ago who isn't that good. What else has he done except get stopped in his only big fight?

Dave Allen is one of the best names on his record too lol.

well, it's a weird situation. He's banned in France for missing an IOC test IIRC. Had nothing to do with VADA, or the WBC. Pretty sure none of the sanctioning bodies recognized it.

IBO ranks him, and if I could find other bodies rankings past 15 I'm sure they still rank him also.
