It's always fun to go back and see the pre-PEDs versions of fighters.

Packy always runs from rematches, Jeff Horn is another example who he ducked. Basically Packy doesn't want to give them the opportunity to beat him again so he can say, pffft, it was a one fight fluke, he fought dirty, the fight was rigged, corruption, bribed judges............

Pac was a glorified journeyman, though.

Yeah, that pattern of Packy's reaction to a defeat had not occurred to me before but it makes perfect sense. The quickest way to get your reputation over a defeat is to move on and not give the guy who beat you up a second chance to do it again, in other words deprive them of any positive publicity and create a negative reaction against them.

This is exactly what happened with Horn, brilliant strategy, if you can't win fair then appear to win anyway you can. After all to most it's all about perception where losses are negated and wins against damaged boxers are perverted into retirement forcing triumphs.

It's all very sneaky and negative but I guess if you grow up on the streets it's second nature.
