So many excuses. Josesito was an 18-1 underdog and this was supposed to be be Thurman's big comeback with a destruction of Lopez. Not only did Lopez take everything that Thurman threw, but he almost ko'd him,and had him running and holding for the rest of the fight. Lopez has lost every big fight he's ever been in(other than the Ortiz fight)and most of them by ko,so don't make him out to be some sort of good boxer. This was a mismatch gone wrong, and all the other champs at 147 smell blood in the water.
this. thurman did not look good against a very shop worn sub par opponent. chin looked weak and shaky, ran like a scared punk, and KO power seems gone.

No matter how bad you wannabe experts think Thurman was just remember that he is not damaged goods so Packy would get badly beaten. Stop dreaming and find some bum who Packy can beat, stay away from Lopez too.

How can you seriously call Lopez a bum? He came to fight which is more than Packy's real bum opponents post Horn have. I'm no Thurman fan but he is/was capable of doing better so we'll see.
