Why pac stop throwing that lead left cross/straight?

Even at 40 pac still seems to have the speed to throw it. That has been his second most damaging punch — next to his left hook. I was actually expecting him to use it a lot against broner who seems to be very hittable with that punch in his trying hard philly shell stance. Instead he was pushing for that jab jab left route that gets telegraphed by Broner hence landed at a lesser rate.

Did Broner do something right to offset that move? Or was it pac’s and his corner’s shortcomings if any?

Beating broner at 40, especially from pac who is an offensive fighter way past his best days is nothing short of a great victory. But “technically” he did nothing very impressive but just be his usual self.

That lead left would have landed straight to the pipe imo. Thoughts?

He wasn't trying to get countered by Broner. He did nothing impressive ? All the feint he uses and the lunging to get people to engage is pretty impressive to me.

Those tactics are what is extending his career. That and using his right alot more.

His quick lead left is way harder to counter than his double feint right left combo where broner was trying to time him after he throws the right, as pacquiao will lunge to throw the left next.

Philly shells main weakness is the left jab for an orthodox fighter and lead left straight for a southpaw.

They were effective with their strat to an extent and got them the easy W, but we couldn’t deny that that punch would’ve been a huge plus, and could’ve found broner’s chin more.

Hence im asking what was broner doing for pac not throw that punch, as i saw none. It was just pac not throwing it.

Lead left, jump to the right after then throw the right hook. That’s what he usually does and didn’t do it.

That shot was less riskier to get countered though. Compared to what they’re doing. 🤷🏻*♂️ But yup, maybe
