I've been a massive fan. I doubt it will stay committed to boxing though. As with other countries, DAZN will buy the rights to other sports and become a general sports app.

You make it sound like signing talent is similar to heading to the grocery store and grabbing a gallon of milk.

Something about him looks different, his whole face, especially around his eyes looks like theres more fat up there. I could scroll right past this photo without even realizing this is DLH. The only clue was that the article was about him.

All the wrinkles around his eyes are all gone now. I think hes had some plastic surgery.

I have no clue what you’re talking about.. my point was simple, Oscar had the leverage in the Canelo-Jacobs negotiations, why didn’t he acquire OPTIONS on Jacobs? Why would he allow Hearn to get Jacobs under a three fight agreement? He let Hearn use Canelo as leverage.. be quiet when grown folks talking next time

You only went to DAZN because HBO is out the game.

That’s what I see happening. They gambled on not needing a network option AND believing Hearn would sign all the PBC fighters

Dazn won't work because fighters aren't dumb. If they all fight under that platform, then they have no measuring stick to validate their worth.

Boxing essentially becomes UFC in terms of pay to fighters.

The ratings and PPV numbers create the large purses that fighters get.

Canelo was only able to get the big deal because he had PPV to validate his worth.

It's not hard to see the problem with the business model here.

According to Danny he's not signed directly to Matchroom. He said recently he has a deal with Dazn, and Matchroom will promote. I thought that was interesting.

It's weird to me that people can't see the parallel between HBO and DAZN. You can't limit the audience and expect that to be good for a niche sport lol

HBO used PPV to subsidize its budget. How does DAZN accomplish that without PPV or advertising?
