I was a big Keith Thurman fan and it was cool hearing him talk sh** but he doesn't go after Spence or Crawford the way he went after Garcia and Porter verbally. I'd respect Keith if he talked sh** to those guys the way he did his other opponents. I would be alright with Keith fighting Pac (if he didn't get the Mayweather fight) instead of going after the WBC.

I believe Thurman stated once he unifies with WBC he'll have two belts to Spence (or Crawford's) one.
Better bargaining chip at the table. Let's not forget about the money now.
Also perhaps adding the WBC might actually do something for his confidence going into big fights such as Spence Crawford like he suggested. Guy is jus coming back.
It’s got to a stage now where Spence is insulting him to his face. Not in a nasty way but .... “ man up let’s fight” way. I appreciate he is just coming back from Injury but Keith avoiding Spence started a long time ago

But.....Thurman is a coward who can really fight. There are cowards who can't fight, and cowards who really fight hard and well when cornered.
Spence has to keep this in mind and prepare like he is fighting the boogeyman of the division. He must not underestimae Thurman one lil bit.
He does that I believe he gives Thurman a massive beating and stops him.
However if he comes there thinking the fight is already won, he will get a rude awakening. Just coz someone is scared of you doesn't mean they'll roll over when you corner them.
As a boxer though, he fights very well off of his back foot, and has some real power when he connects. I actually thought he beat Porter worse than Brook did, and didn't think his win over DG should have been a split win. Very smart boxer that will give anyone at welterweight all they want.

So Spence beat and KO'd the man who beat the man on Thurman's resume, same man who could have easily got the decision against Keith in their fight.
Garcia...lost to Porter who lost to Brook, who got KO'd by Spence. Also robbed Petersen, the second best fighter on Spence's resume.
Guererro lost to an actual cab driver, literally, the guy was a cab driver, and what's the difference between prime Guerrero and prime Algieri? Nada, same level dude.
So Spence has:
1) Brook
2) Petersen
3) Algieri
And there is barely any difference between his and Thurman's resume.
Thurman just a hype job loudmouth who is good at making people think he is beter than he is.
Thurman's resume is miles ahead of any of the other welterweights.
Spence is fighting a lightweight next and he's feasted on light welterweights for most of his career. He only has 3 ex-champions on his resume (one being Algieri, who's a super weak champ).
Guerrero isn't one of Keith's top 3 wins. As far as name recognition goes, sure, but not based on talent and competitiveness.
You are lacking.

In the meantime Keith has beaten multiple champions/ex-champions, unified the division, and beaten 2 top 5 fighters in his division.
Thurman vs Spence didn't even make sense until Spence beat Brook, and that wasn't even 2 years ago... right around the time Keith got injured and took ~2 years off.

"The fight was spoke about" defaq is that ish! As if Spence was the one speaking about it whereas Spence always maintained he wanted to unify and that Garcia was too small for him, but Garcia kept calling him out every press conference. It wasn't until Garcia called him out officially in the Garcia-Easter post fight interview that Spence took him seriously.
AND EVEN THEN, Garcia vs Porter happened afer that and Spence went into the ring and challenged Porter to fight him next.
The following day he was interviewed again and Spence blatantly, unequivocally, stated that if he had to choose between Garcia and Porter, he wants Porter next and wants to unify welterweight.
Porter started making excuses about mandatories that weren't even ordered yet in the Garcia-Porter post fight conference, but the wbc press called his bluff later that week and said that if Porter made a request to unify with Spence before the wbc convention then the unification would be ordered.
Porter went into hiding after that, and the wbc convention happened and came back without a Porter-Spence order, meaning that Porter, as I already knew from his previous behaviour, did not make the request.
You could make excuses I suppose and say the wbc stopped the unification and how do I know Porter didn't make the request and was denied.
I know because the wbc has a VERY VERY steller record when it comes to unifications. The wbc ALWAYS puts unifications above mandatories, always. If you been following boxing you will know that.
There were plenty of articles on here before the porter and Garcia fight about the possibility of Garcia and Spence facing off later in the year. In fact I’m pretty sure the original date was supposed to be December but the fury and wilder fight was made. So before porter won the belt this fight was on the cards.
