It's such a sad commentary on the sport. Canelo is, without doubt, a great fighter - great to watch, is adaptable, has never been buzzed (to the best of my recollection) owns a terrific highlight reel :
Yet it's now an open secret that corruption exists whenever it comes to Canelo fights. I'm not sure, but if those 2-3 fights that appeared to be leaning towards Canelo didn't, meaning there was no implied sense of impropriety, Canelo ends up as a 49-2-3, with Golovkin still WBA/WBC champ - would Canelo's stock be any less?
I doubt it. It's that once great fighter turned into a slick caricature ODLH that stinks up the room. He's the one more than likely responsible for the wafting smell around Canelo.
I hope Jacobs puts him to sleep - or at least scores enough knockdowns, that only a W for Jacobs will do.
