Would Kell Brook be a good yardstick for Keith Thurman?

Assuming Thurman gets past Josesito Lopez on Saturday, would Brook be a good opponent to see how much he has left? Only a few years ago people used to talk like Brook would beat Thurman easy, these two were regarded as the two best in the division at one point.

Not now. Brook looked terrible in his last fight and he kills himself to make 147. A win over Brook wouldn't prove much more than knocking out 50 to 1 underdog Lopez. Two cherry picks in a row would be a very bad look for Thurman. The fight with Lopez should get rid of the rust and his next fight should be with Spence, Crawford or Porter. It's time for Thurman to quit ***ing around and start acting like a champion. Lopez is his cherry pick yardstick fight and he shouldn't need two practice fights in a row.
