The weight of the gloves is one being considered not the size. Oz is a unit of measurement, isn't it?Originally posted by BonafideI'm having a debate with my buddy trying to explain to him what sizes of gloves are used in the pros. He doesn't believe me the the heavier wieghts use bigger gloves ,pls tell me if this is correct or wrong...thanks in advance!
Bantam to welterweight 8oz
junior middle to light heavy 10oz
heavyweights ( cant remember if they use 10oz or 120z?)
The heavier weight class will have thicker protective layers thus it is heavier and since these fighters are bigger it's only common sense the the gloves will be little bit bigger compared to the lower division.Comment
