As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Canelo Alvarez will return to the ring and to the middleweight division on May 4 to fight Danny Jacobs. Alvarez will defend his WBC and WBA (Super) titles against IBF champion Jacobs in a matchup of two of the sport's top middleweight performers. No venue has been announced for the bout on the eve of Cinco de Mayo - but the T-Mobile Area in Las Vegas is the frontrunner.

By the sound of it, Canelo is a man on a mission to become undisputed middleweight champion of the world. If he win against Jacobs and fight the winner of Andrade vs Saunders in September and win, then there is no doubt he can become fighter of the year in 2019, but Canelo need to win convincingly to pull this off. Apparently, Canelo is going to do what Golovkin tried to do and fail. If Canelo achieve this, then Golovkin is going to get more jealous of Canelo. Well, let's see what happen first.
