The 168lbs division is extremely solid right now. Some good fights to be made. Talent wise, Plant is right up there at the top and being a white American champion who scored the highest ratings on FS1, I’m willing to bet real money that he is going to be a money maker for PBC on FOX and they should have him fight no less than 3 times in 2019.

I don't see him holding on to the belt for too long. I can't pin point it but it's just that nervous energy that he has that can't be good. He's not relaxed in the ring.

Al is going to take it from the white boy, there are a bunch of fighters in the PBC stable that could take his belt.

I am as sympathetic as the next guy, I also consider myself sensitive and considerate, but am really getting tired of reading and hearing about this guy's late daughter...they make Plant out to be this immense victim/ survivor...I dunno if PBC is behind it, or it's his team that promotes this personal tragedy angle but every article, every fight...I dunno, everyone is different I guess, to me his remorse is cheapened by how often he talks about it...just fight man, wear her initial on your trunks and stfu already about it...100s of millions around the world experience some form of personal hardships...we turn to sports and entertainment to escape reality not to feel sorry for the athletes and entertainers.

Exactly. It's terrible, and Plant's a good fighter and cong**** to him, but it really doesn't have much to do with his career as far as I'm concerned. I don't get the whole 'back story' bull**** which is so popular in America. The best man wins, and that's it.
Uzcategui came out just before the fight and said he's lost a young daughter too, shortly after she was born, but he doesn't go on about it all the time.

Yeah I feel bad for him about his daughter, but aside from that, I just find his personality really irritating. Even Andre Ward didn't say 'I'm the big dog' when he was unified champion and had beaten everyone at 168, which Plant hasn't done.

yeh it would suck if he was selling himself solely on his kids death. I'd not choose to do that if I was him, its probably down to his marketing team, they can be crass like that.

I still feel like Jose had a terrible corner and game plan. Even after all that he still almost TKO'd him. I feel Jose should get the rematch next to see if he Plant is legit and truly better. That was a BRILLIANT night he had where almost everything was on point.

I get what you're saying and I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch either. However, should Plant be pressed to rematch him just because Jose had the wrong game plan and couldn't get much done?

Yes, he almost stopped Plany in what, the 9th round? Cool, but I don't feel he deserves a reamtch based off of that.

Hell, I don't believe we should be awaiting the HW rematch with Wilder/Fury when most know Fury won the fight? Just because Wilder scored two late KDs, should he be awarded another chance to "get it right"?

The same happened in the May/Pac fight. People are mad at the result of the fight because Manny looked like crap, but they blamed it on Floyd.

I don't fully agree with a rematch, but I understand.
