so are you telling me that in the boxing industry, it's okay not to respond to offers from other fighters or promoters for a fight?
not even a "no, thank you" response? is this the kind of boxing industry you want as a supposed boxing fan, where negotiations can't even be done in good faith? and please don't claim AJ didn't negotiate in good faith in the past. i'm asking specifically about not responding to 60-40 split offers or agreeing to meet to discuss, or even answer simple phone calls. that's not how business should be done. in any sport. and if you are truly a fan of boxing, you should think the same. this isn't about alliances.

listen man, support wilder all you want, but him and his incompetent team are hurting boxing, not eddie hearn or AJ. that's the wrong precedence to set.

He does not owe them a damn word. Wilder had plans set immediately following his last fight, so Hearn and AJ are just getting in the way now. The 60-40 offer didn't happen until Fury became mandatory so again it was Hearn and AJ playing games that got them to this point. Wilder been told them 50-50 or fk off. They didn't think he was serious? They didn't decide to start with 60-40 in that case? No. So he did exactly what he told them he would.

If 50/50 is dead to the winner than HEARN doesn't want the fight, like I & many keep saying is the case. And its HEARN still playing games with other fighters & f#cking up Joshua's reputation with petty bs still.

I hope Joshua starts looking into other promoter options. Idk why he's not on a fight by fight deal as big as he is. Hearn is making Joshua look bad. Joshua could be the biggest draw in world boxing NOW instead you got his penny pinching promoter who can't even make in house fights he's trying to lowball mfers outta taking fights.

This is a dangerous f#cking sport. Go ask the families & loved ones of guys who've been killed or are in situations like Adonis Stevenson is now. Any fight vs anybody could be your last fight & be life altering for a boxer. Anyone getting in the ring deserves to get their value. Hearn isn't doing that minimum courtesy to fighters.

And I bet making $1M less than offered at 50-50 feels better than ripping yourself and letting others make way crazier money at your expense. Which was really the point of my post. He's going to make a ton of money, without having to deal with an opponent's promoter trying to **** him every which way

          • Because the offer is obviously shít. You can come to America for Miller, but not for Wilder? Ok guy.

              F@ckin idiot lol
So 8 figure paydays aren't huge anymore? Based on 325K buys, Wilder's debut didn't gross more ppv than Joshua's last 2 fights? It's crazy how you can be so arrogant as to insult me, and not understand basic math.

It’s not really at his expense though. Also it wasn’t 50/50 he got the larger share. Both him and fury claim to be bigger than aj as do many of their fans on here. That’s what they say and yet their combined purse is what aj made fighting povetkin. This is them at the peak of their earning power and the flat fee offer was 1 mil more. Thats pretty fair if you look at it from that perspective.

If they think a fight with aj is worth that much more surely he’s the biggest star in the division? If anything, he’s making money at aj’s expense.

For the record I’m not against a % offer but I think it’s clear

So if he takes a flat fee, it's not at his expense even though the more the event sells, the more he loses to a percentage deal he deserves? Guess we'll have to agree to disagree there. Pacquiao didn't go for it, and neither should Wilder. It takes 2 to tango, so Hearn should do good business and pay fairly, considering that Wilder showed his drawing power in his debut with a guy who'd been on the shelf for 2 years, and had no visibility whatsoever in America. That fight made more in ppv than Joshua's last 2 fights, so "bigger" star may still be inaccurate, but Wilder can at least make the same type of money. If Joshua tried to charge $74.99 for his fights, his sales would plummet.

50/50 would be dead to the loser, for sure. That's what I was saying. 60/40 is a very reasonable split if we're being honest. The vast majority of people who I have heard talking about the subject agree on this, whether that's past fighters, journalists or anyone else.

The only way that you could really consider a 60/40 split in favour of a guy who has 3 of the major belts and a history of generating far more revenue than anyone else in the division a low-ball offer is if you have an axe to grind.
