Pacquiao vs Porter, is Pac's age too big a factor against Shawn Porter?

I would like to see Pacquiao vs Shawn Porter up next. They are also old sparring partners before Porter was a champion which explains where Porter may have developed his tenacity in the ring from.

Shawn Porter fights an ugly fight, but an active fight not afraid to swing a little wild whether to get in or out of the phone booth.

We just saw Manny practically chase Broner around for 12 rounds. Although when Broner gets in the clinch, he seeks for the ref to break it up. Porter in the clinch is willing to take any shots he can, put his weight on his opponent, and whatever else to tire them out.

Do you see Pac would be able to withstand Porter's work rate? Porter does come in reckless with lunging straights and Pac's feints would throw Porter's offensive timing off too.

Porter is a bad matchup for for Pacquiao at his age. He would get mauled.

If Horn mauled Pac then so would Porter. Several headbutts will occur.

Porter would be a tough night at this stage.

I'd see Pacquiao trying to move and counter like he did against Hatton, but I don't know if he can handle the constant pressure for 12 rounds.

Porter would rough up and best the sh.it out of PAC at this stage

In saying that there is no way Haymon allows Porter who has 22 fans be the name to take Pacs scalp

I don't know who would win. It's very close to me. I give a slight edge to Pacquiao. A prime Pacquiao would KO Porter in my opinion but the 40 year old Pacquiao would have a hard time with Porter.

If Pacquiao can't hurt Porter then he would probably get worn down. The thing is, it's possible that Pac would and could hurt Porter, but Shawn is pretty tough and if he can recover or withstand Pacs offense that might mean big trouble for Pac. I'm sure Manny's team would be well aware of the dangers that Porter would bring. Youth, constant energy, size and strength would all favour Porter but you never know for sure. Pac is always dangerous and tricky.

I think especially lately it looks like Pac is boxing real bad, but he's so much slower (despite still being fast) that you can see his awkwardness so much more.

Manny's feinting with the jab and head movement get stronger the fight goes on which he showed in changing punch angles to catch Broner's defensive postures. Pac always does a good job getting his lead foot on the outside too, he has the trickery to stun Porter with shots it'll be hard to brace himself for.
