Comments Thread For: Pacquiao: I Was Surprised Broner Didn't Throw Lot Of Punches

LAS VEGAS Manny Pacquiao expected Adrien Broner to throw more punches. Who doesn't, right? Nevertheless, Pacquiao altered his strategy during their 12-round, 147-pound title fight Saturday night once it became evident Pacquiao would need to initiate the action on a consistent basis. Pacquiao discussed during their post-fight press conference how switching approaches during their fight helped him win a unanimous decision and retain his WBA world welterweight title at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

He still thinks he is Floyd Mayweather without the hard work or dedication.

If light punching Paulie was able to keep broners hands at bay juts by throwing alot, almost anyone can make him go into a shell. Broner has become the new Mayorga, he will be called on to make old past prime fighters look as good as new again.

Cos he thinks fighting like Floyd would make the judges gift him the decision.

dude should've let his hands go. he might've draw the fight if he did. once he felt the power dude either shells up or ran away.

he would've been KO tho. the only way that was keeping him from getting KO was his guard was always up, but if you lower your guard just a sec you'd be sleeping.

broner knew he was gunna lose, just didnt want to be embarassed

Safe to say Pacman doesnt watch fight tape. More than his mouth, legal history, flashy trunks and his social media antics, "not throwing a lot of punches" is Broners most glaring character trait.

Broner was chosen specifically because he sells a lot of tickets, and does not throw a lot of punches! He was the perfect opponent for Pacquiao!

Lies. It's the reason Broner was cherry picked.

So Haymon cherry picked Broner for Pacquiao. Interesting.
