Random testing is now a commonly accepted and respected standard in boxing.

But why did Pacquiao 10 years ago come up with every reason in the book to not give blood for a few years?

“It weakens me”
“It’s a disadvantage because I’m smaller”
“Don’t like needles”
“It’s an insult”
“Floyd just scared”
“Let the commission do its job”
Etc....

I think team Pac was worried about WADAs Athlete Biological Passport which became mandatory in 2010.
That type of testing includes specific software and separate rules/regulations in which direct detection of the banned substance isn't necessary.

Just because you're ped free today, doesn't mean you're in the clear.

Offensive fighters tend to age way faster than defensive ones. you can take a look at the history of this sport.
Mayweather’s style ages gracefully as he relied more on defense in his latter years, while only throwing minimal volume of punches.
While the opposite tends to overwhelm his opponents with volume punching, speed and angles. Can’t do that when you’re old.
Floyd fights the same way he did delahoya and when he did pacquiao. Threw just as much punch too. While pac throws 700-1000 punches in his prime.
