One of the main reason's it's tollerated (can't say allowed because there's a major penalty) is that guys will tend to hack away at eachtother all game if they have a problem with one another. This way they throw down, get it over with and the game continues.

It's a good tool for getting your team going when you're down, and protecting players on your team from cheap shots.

i just started to watch hockey this year actually. watched the playoffs and the stanley cup and i really liked it. I probably couldnt name more than 20 pros though, lol.

But i was wondering if anyone remembers tye domie or w/e! that guy was an animal in his fights lol. someone should make a highlight video of his fights!
