By the end of 2019: Pacquiao vs Thurman & Spence vs Porter?

Pacquiao fought Jan. 19th and Thurman is fighting one week later on Jan. 26th.

Porter is fighting Ugas on March 9th, and Spence is fighting Garcia one week later on March 16th.

It would make sense for Pacquiao and Thurman to fight, and then Spence and Porter can fight.

Then, we could finally get Thurman vs Spence in early 2020 with 3 belts on the line. With the winner fighting Crawford for the Undisputed title in late 2020.

    Lol, at mentioning Crawford.

The winner of the fight will be WBC/WBA/IBF champion, so expect rotating mandatories until Arum/DuBoef send Crawford across the street.

Danny Garcia likely gets the first crack (WBC mandatory), with the IBF following that, and the WBA following (with voluntary defenses put in where openings occur).

I hope this is the plan. However, I think Thurman will fight Pac and then Porter before Spence. He keeps talking about having two belts before "negotiating" the fight with Spence and he has first right to call the fight with the WBC

Thurman is a good fight for Pac and a real test. If he fails then he should retire.

If only your name was Al Haymon & you operated less like Haymon with matching up his top guys quicker.

I think its not crazy to suggest that we will see another "final 4" fight (Manny vs Spence vs Thurman vs Porter) this year to get us to a final 3, although I also don't think its a lock we will see any, but I'd for sure bet a healthy amount we wont get a legit final 4 bracket played out that leads the way into Bud in an across platforms fight in 2020.

I wish you were right & I definitely hope I'm wrong here, but I just don't think it has much of a shot to go down like that & I highly doubt if there is a PBC 147 blueprint that it looks anything like you are suggesting based on how things have worked in the past.

It’s going to be Errol Spence. This was the plan all along. Pacquiao already said he wants the Spence-Garcia winner and that’s what Haymon was planning all along. To make Spence the next star. Thurman and Porter will fight if Thurman doesn’t disappear again.

Problem is the calendar doesnt line up for Pac/Spence. Its perfect for Pac/Thurman because Pac cant fight the 2nd half of the year due to Senator duties.

What about for June/July? Spence is young he can bounce right back. I seriously doubt they give Thurman the rub by having him beat Pacquiao only to sit out for two more years and refuse to fight Spence. They want Spence to be the guy because he is the guy. But we shall see

Win or lose. I think if he's going to fight one of the young lions, it should be for a belt and his final fight.
