Broner at the lower weights didn't have to worry about fighters with pop cause he was a much bigger and heavier guy as is.

In just about all of his losses, once he gets hit, he just shuts down and cruises, and plays spoiler..and does just enough that they don't stop the fight.
I gotta disagree with you. I think Broner is trying. He just doesn't know want to do when an opponent throws a bunch. Or when his opponent has real power. He seems to believe he should win a round if he throws zero punches and makes his opponent only land 15 out of 100 punches. He fails to realize that Floyd, Hopkins, and other greats would counter after making their opponents miss. Broner just makes them mess and doesn't throw anything back.
And he seems to believe that should win him rounds.

Watch any of his interviews. Maybe instead of being a hustler, who uses a brash, ignorant personality to sell fights, maybe Broner really is that dumb. Maybe he does believe he is winning, when every viewer has him far behind.

Broner did get a nice $5 million pay day for this fight though.
What audience? This is his first ppv, and its Mannys name that sells it. Hes not packing the “Mecca” of boxing, Vegas, because he barely fights there. The guys that draw crowds, are doing Vegas fights.

Broner is a very good fighter. He just never shines. Maybe he will not be taking to seriously from now. He would need to at least build up some good wins until another blockbuster fight.

What audience? Have you seen the best SHO ratings the last two years? Again, minus Wilder, go look and tell me who puts up the best numbers? And Broner's attendance numbers are always good. Has put up the best Barclays numbers the last years behind....wait for it, Wilder/Ortiz. So yeah, fair to say he does draw an audience.

But arent the big dogs supposed to be drawing in vegas? Everyone here is always talking about how if you want to make it on the big stage, you have to sell in Vegas, the Mecca of boxing.

              Or did that change?

I have no idea where the hell this has gone to lol. Don't overthink it. Broner bets up good attendance numbers and does the second best ratings numbers on SHO. That's the point. He's still a draw and has been a draw for a while despite all these one sided losses. He's still able to draw people back to his antics.
