Davis should move up after Mares and should face Loma. This Crolla fight is really a joke. Loma has downplayed a Pac fight in the past cause according to him (sounds like a duck to me) he is shot and nothing to gain in beating up a legend and yet he keeps fighting the likes of Marriaga, Sosa and heck he just struggled against Pedraza who was easily destroyed by Davis lol!

Wouldn't unification trump a mandatory? Dont see this fight happening next. WBA will push it back. Arum has mentioned he wants Loma to fight in the UK, but Loma is already scheduled to fight April 12th in LA.

This is actually very good marketing by Fa$t £ddie Hearn. Expect T.j. Doheney Vs Gavin or Jamie McDonnell on the same card in the UK!....

I think it's rubbish too, but there's 4 different orgs and many fighters aren't sanctioned by all of 'em. Means you sometimes get guys who ain't all that at the top of the pile. Regardless that he ain't a great fighter Crolla has jumped through the appropriate hoops and has reached the mando spot. Now he's done that the WBA is kinda obligated to follow through by making it happen, so yes, it is doing it's job in that sense. Do I like it? No. But what they supposed to do, just ignore their own rules and bypass the guys they've told have done what they gotta do?

All of which is totally bypassing my question: I asked what exactly this has to do with Hearn. So far on this thread I've seen folk using it to have a pop at Lomachenko, at Arum and at Hearn, when all that's said is that the WBA have set up a purse bid. You said that this is 'proof' Hearn is selling chocolate cake or... something, but no matter how many times I read it I can't see Hearn (or indeed chocolate cakes or gobbling) mentioned even once. I'm just trying to figure out what you mean, man. It's intriguing.

Lomachenko posted on Russian social media site "kontakte"

That he will fight the winner of the IBF fight between Commey and Chaviev as they both signed an agreement that the winner will have to face him,
And he will fight Crolla in the summer probably in the United Kingdom.

Could be true,he can postpone the mandatory for a third unification

Wouldn't argue with that. Hell of a risky fight for Lomachenko, cos Cano's a big boy and can really ****. Definitely ain't any margin for error... My guess is that he'd only go to 140 for a real major fight though, despite flattening Linares Cano ain't really on anyone's must do list.

Lomachenko would do well to do something that'll get folk talking though, cos Mikey has really stolen the limelight, but going up to fight Cano offers a much bigger downside than Mikey going into the lions den to fight Spence. Beat Cano and you're hardly gonna become a legend, lose and you lost to a guy whose been beat by half a dozen journeymen before you.

If I'm Lomachenko I probably wait for the dust to settle at 140 if that's the direction I'm gonna take.

If he were to fight a British Lightweight I would rather see Lomachenko face Luke Campbell. Still, Crolla is a top-10 Lightweight so not like it's a BS mandatory. We really need to see Loma v Mikey this year.

Mikey's Limelight ain't going to last too long after Spence's demolishment, he just has the limelight till the fight.
Lomachenko already very small at 135,he will never go to 140,and why would he go? soon he'll have 3 of the four belts,Hopefully he can become undisputed and then fighters like Tank are going to have to see him, when they move up or No more belts for them. and how's that going to look??
Think Mikey's keeping to door open to return to 135 if the Spence fight is a disaster for him, why else he hasn't relinquished the belt yet? i think it's serves as a safety buoy for him
