Canelo had to "step it up" if he wanted to retain some degree of respect among hardcore boxing fans. He took two L's to GGG and moved up to fight for a bogus world title ... looks pretty bad. His career's going better than ever, but a lot of people paying close attention are not pleased with him. The Jacobs fight should be great, I'm excited it got made.

GGG can do whatever he wants, hopefully that's ~2 more big fights and he retires.

Why are people so anti Golovkin? People dont have to be a big fan or a fan but hes been one of the better fighters of the last decade isnt that a good thing? Hes no smack talker, never been popped for drugs, only fighters people moan he hasnt faced over the years are people from other divisions. Id go as far as to say there was a bit of a hate campaign during and between the Canelo fights. Especially during the bit where Canelo was suspended for drugs cheating.

I'm pretty sure when Golovkin fought Jacobs he was given full credit for it on here. No one thought Danny was trash like Dominic Wade or Vanes.

And Jacobs remains one of the top 3 middleweights in the world right now. So of course Canelo deserves credit for taking that fight.
