Is Bob Arum waging a sneaky war on DAZN?

He just ruined Hearn's big plans for Khan vs Brook. Even though in the past he has said that Khan isn't any good or much of a draw.

And he also somehow stole away Beterbiev who was in the middle of a 3-fight deal with DAZN.

Brook Khan is a UK ting doe so why would Bob care about what Hearn does in the UK and on SKY not DAZN.

If anything that just shows what little pool of fighters Crawford has to pick from.

I'm sure Eddie would have preferred getting a cut of both fighters purses, but that's the extent of it.

Yeah stopping the Khan, Brook UK domestic showdown is a gigantic attack on DAZN as US based subscription service....

I think you're reaching a little bit here Khan is just a good WW name promotion wise for Crawford outside of the PBC lot.

Doesn't Arum 'own' most the other LHW outside Bivol so Betebiev just makes sense as well.

No conspiracies here, just business as usual.

Really not waging war on DAZN per se, but there is definitely an arms race going on. Networks/promoters are trying to lock down certain divisions. If someone is available you damn right all three en****** will go after them.

Getting in the way of Hearn making money obviously impacts how strong DAZN can be as a U.S. rival.

Since Hearn is one of the major sources providing fights to DAZN.

Its tit for tat really, Hearn signed Doheny, so theres no chance for a unification for Navarette. Rungvisai going to DAZN loses the Ancajas unification Arum wanted. Golovkin goes to DAZN Arum aint got **** for Brant

The funny thing is Khan and Beterbiev were technically not available. They had deals with Hearn or DAZN.

But Arum found loopholes or some other way to tamper with them.

Well, Beterbiev has already had past connections with TR/ESPN so that's not surprising. Arum was fully aware of that situation.

As for Khan? Everyone in the boxing game knows he makes his own moves regardless of who he is with. He has smart people around him that are able to negotiate on their own. Then his promoter/advisor just signs off on the moves he chooses.
