Maurice Hooker fighting an absolute bum on DAZN

    Mikkel LesPierre?

Junior welterweight Mikkel LesPierre (20-0-1, 9 KOs), 33, of New York, has gotten the call. He will challenge junior welterweight world titlist Maurice Hooker (25-0-3, 17 KOs), 29, of Dallas, on March 9 (DAZN) on the card headlined by the fight between light heavyweight world titlist Dmitry Bivol and Joe Smith Jr., Hooker co-promoter Dino Duva of Roc Nation Sports told ESPN on Thursday. The deal with LesPierre promoter Lou DiBella was agreed to and is being put to paper. Hooker will make his second title defense. LesPierre will step up to face by far the most notable opponent of his seven-year pro career.

Thats a pretty bs manufactured resume. 20-0-1 but only 6 fights vs guys with a winning record. Although in his defense his last 3 fights are 3 of the 6 opponents with winning records.

And 7 of his opponents or 1/3 of his resume were against guys with no professional wins & thats where his draw came from lol.

Champions defending their titles against unranked challengers is quite common these days as Andrade and Jermall show with their title defenses. Jermall fought boxrec's 45th best middleweight and Andrade is fighting boxrec's 31st best middleweight. Not exactly top 10.

I personally think Boxrec is a piece of trash, except for checking a fighter's record. They DKSAB!

Yeah, I still think they push for Linares vs Hooker next though
