I'm not sure what Whyte's matchroom contract is like at present, but I imagine he's just testing the waters. He'd be naive not too.

That said, I don't think he's turning his back on a Joshua fight. Hearn, Whyte and Joshua have built it up well.

Joshua was flexing his muscles a little last week showing Whyte who runs the show. Whyte could well be now showing Jooshua that he will have his say too.

Joshua is by far Whyte's biggest payday and they're in a good position to make the fight. I can't see Whyte walking away from that at this stage.

ITV Boxing are doing it the right way you pay for the fight just because it is Eubank vs DeGeale, nothing else a grudge set from years ago despite both been exposed the public knows both of them england they are not trying to sell the fight to the US, but the english public what with a solid undercard looks a sure thing.

Remember this if it was so bad they would not have got involved

Whyte is a free agent, Hearn mention this last week. He is free to explore his options. But i doubt anyone would pay him what he made over the last two fights anywhere else. Its just Whyte way of getting a better deal from Matchroom, I mean they have done a great job for him, he was a kickboxer and now he is making £5m per fight.

Likely just a negotiation tactic, but if Whyte goes to PBC and Wilder/Fury II goes down...damn that’s a whole lotta L’s

Yeah he's going no where, even if they give him a deal at PBC am sure Matchroom would then match it. Its a win win for him.

Seems like Whyte has been unhappy with Hearn's offer for the AJ fight. Maybe he's just there to try and force a better offer from Hearn.

It makes little sense in a way though. If he's unhappy with Hearn's offer, or Hearn prioritises other fights for AJ instead of delivering a title shot for Whyte as his priority, then why would Whyte move away from the place that has the most titles available and the easier fight to make? - It's not like he's just going to walk into a world title fight with Wilder.
Because although he isn’t now, he will be WBO mandatory when it’s their turn to call it.

                So it doesn’t really matter.

Would be a great fight, get Dillian some exposure in the US.

I just can't see him turning down the Joshua payday to be honest. I mean unless we get Joshua/Fury, then Whyte really has no reason to leave SKY/Hearn.
Well if Haymon is serious about breaking into the UK market, could see Dillian becoming his marquee fighter at Heavyweight on this side of the pond. Make no mistake, in a landscape where AJ isn't calling the shots, Dillian is a big name in his own right and has gained a lot of momentum in recent fights.

This is the last thing UK boxing or any boxing needs splitting stables so that the boxers can use the "other side of the street excuse" they all already have enough excuses. I'd hoped that they'd just focus on scooping loose fighters and prospects up and putting on good cards so that Hearn and Warren had to put on equally decent cards.

He’s not getting Joshua anytime soon either. But he can fight an Ortiz or Breazeale which is better/more intriguing than other names under Matchroom.

I think he’s fine whether he goes or stays Based on his interview, it seems he’ll do what’s best for him financially.
