Neither. He's a smart guy and he wants some of that money that a Fury-Wilder fight would produce.
      Nothing wrong with that...

Matchroom have sent out offers to all the big players not sure why as fury vs wilder II looks likely as both guys have said as much. The offers are the same as what WBC has set for the rematch 60/40. Either matchroom are very slow on giving out their offers or they time them very well. They simply cannot offer less than what been said by the WBC as that has set a precedent.

Matchroom are still without a fight for Joshua for their pre booked date and Eddie Hearn is talking about bidding on the purse bid for that match is utterly ridiculous. It is also highly ironic considering Hearns statements before and after the first wilder fury matchup of it won’t happen and then it was the worst fight he had ever seen. This guy is a real piece of work and terms like SOB where created for such folk.

That put aside I think the 60/40 isn’t bad but since wilder and fury have both said 50/50 I guess that bed is made and they need to lie in it. In addition the offer certainly is a bit late in the day and I think it would be highly unlikely at this point in time to accept that. Does Eddie know this already? Is this a ploy to placate the fans? I certainly think so ... there’s a also a play here to see when the rematch date is set so Eddie can counter punch his own Joshua date. I think he would prefer they show their date first ...

I believe that matchroom are still hurting and are probably a little envious that the biggest fight this year won’t involve Joshua but it will be Wilder vs Fury II and if that’s later in the year then bye bye Joshua see you in 2020
        LoL, quit hating you fool!
I'm no fan of Eddie Hearn but what's wrong with him bidding on the Fury-Wilder fight??
It's a great fight that'll make money so allot of promoters want in on the action....
        What's wrong with that??

I believe that both Wilder and Fury actually want people to see their fight, so DAZN and its 121 subscribers is out of the question

From a business angle, I keep saying that Hearn is smart and a good promoter. I am not sure he's a boxing fan though

You don't think they want the most money? Who is to say Top Rank and ESPN wouldn't win the purse bid?

This would be funny as hell. If this goes to purse bid and DAZN wins it, Hearn has them right where he wants them. He can win the purse bid and take the fight to Wembley for the April 13th date, no problem. Warren, Finkel and the rest would be mad as hell but there would be nothing they could do about it hahahahahaha. Oh man, I hope it goes to purse bid...

I didn't mention TR or ESPN tho. I don't think it will be bid on because an agreement will come first, but visibility is what makes this fight a ppv. Having a real audience for the last fight is what's making them more money in this fight and dazn will shrink their profiles because no one will see the rematch.

I'm pretty sure they bid on the broadcast rights...they don't get to determine where the fight takes place and it sure as hell isn't going to be in the UK where there is less money.
