  • Comments Thread For: Jarrell Miller Will No Longer Appear on Jan. 18 DAZN Show

The 2019 return of Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller will have to wait a little longer. Efforts to get the unbeaten Brooklyn-bred heavyweight on this Friday's DAZN-******ed show at Madison Square Garden's Hulu Theatre in New York City have proven for naught. Miller was rumored to land on the undercard against an opponent to be determined, but time became a factor as it was decided to just have him sit this one out, BoxingScene.com was informed through sources with knowledge of said efforts.

Thank God for that. Is this even legal? 2/3 days before the fight to name an opponent. At this level!

I don't know what they were waiting for but I feel somebody didn't do his work well.

So for $10 a month, you get a Canelo-Rocky type fight once or twice a year, and several cards that lack even one good fight?

That might be alright for the Brits, but here in North America fight fans aren't paying for such garbage.

Well then it’s pretty funny that it’s YOU guys that are being sold DAZN and not us British.

              We don't have DAZN here.

lmao. This giving Hearn a boatload of money is even dumber than I thought! You are right, DAZN isn't even available in the country where most of its fighters are from! Apparently, it is in Austria, Germany, Japan, Switzerland, and Canada. And now the U.S.

DAZN signed all pub fighters from the UK to sell boxing in North America. lmao. Yea, turns out ppvs are not anywhere close to dying. More people in the U.S. bought the Wilder-Fury fight than have subscribed to DAZN.

I was honestly rooting for DAZN, as ppvs are a rip off. But this is just sad. Andrade vs. no name is the headliner?!?

Gotta give Hearn credit, somehow he hoodwinked DAZN on an epic scale. If Eddie ever comes to the U.S. there is a real chance he gets arrested for felony grand larceny.

And here’s the thing, people keep saying PPV is a rip off, and I agreed up until I subscribed to DAZN. I got a Years subscription. In Canada that was $150. And I watched Povetkin/AJ, Usyk/Bellew and Inoue/Payano. Works out to $50 a fight. I got two PPV’s last year. GGG/Canelo II And Fury/Wilder. I paid $160. Now sure I got one extra fight with the DAZN package, but I feel more ripped off because I’m paying for something that I haven’t used in almost two months. Next week is Broner vs Pacquiao. I have no interest in that fight so I’m not going to pay. I’m still paying for this weekends Matchroom card though, and I won’t be watching that.

North American boxing = pay per view

DAZN = pay and maybe view

Didn’t his last fight get moved from New York to the middle of nowhere Kansas? He needs a new team
