Hmmm...maybe because Mosley has a fight planned with Vargas at 154 (and Vargas is a pretty big guy) so he's going to have to easily make 154 and be strong at that weight. Then he said he won't be fighting again till 2007 because he needs time to get down to 2007.

And plus, there could be many things OUTSIDE of the ring that makes him say only in 2007 he will fight Floyd. You do realize he is a family man right (he has always stated this in interviews). He is not a young man anymore.

Mosley hasn't backed down from anyone and he's not going to back down from a wimp.

Meaning there's an $8 million offer on the table to fight Margarito this year, and that Mosley won't be at 147 until next year. So take the fight that's on offer now, rather than waiting 6-8 months for me to be ready.

Nah I don't buy it either. Shane has taken on all comers in the past.

Perhaps the guy just wants a break, he's not gettin any younger. Floyd has heaps of options for his next couple of fights, if he gets past those I'm sure Shane and Floyd can happen.

When will this Margarito v. Mayweather talk stop, the welterweight division is loaded. Margarito can fight Quintano, Williams, Collazo all of whom just had big fights on major networks and are named fighters.
