Agreed, that's a solid scrap and it gives David some time to get fresh.

That's a big one when it happens.

I believe the WBC ruled that David Benavidez is obligated to fight the winner of Dirrell vs. Yildirim. He's also supposed to fight on the undercard of Spence Jr. vs. Garcia. So Plant needs to fight someone. I would hope he would fight Quillen, maybe even on Wilder vs. Fury II?

Plant is in the driver seat and doesn’t have to rematch UzCat!

The fight was not close as he needed a KO to win and wasn’t even close get one!

The rematch would be worse for Uzcategui IMO, he has bad balance and a tendency to be too square when he throws his shots which is why Plant outboxed him besides the speed advantage! Not to mention Plant was coming off a long lay-off!

Plant deserves a homecoming fight and then another involuntary before he gets it on with Benavides!

Props for Uzcategui for not making excuses. He's a cool dude and a likeable fighter but he really needs to be meaner in the ring. Be more active, rougher in the clinches, stop smiling, stop touching gloves with the other guy, etc. With his fighting style, he needs to give his opponents hell at all times, not make them comfortable. Any contender with solid fundamentals and a basic stick and move gameplan will have an easy time with him if he keeps fighting like he did yesterday.

You're right...but from what saw, I see the same result in the rematch. Plant was just too slick and fast for th he plodding Uzcategui.

Uzcategui seems like a good dude. Needs to work on his boxing skills. Swinging for the fences doesn't work against top opposition. He should stay busy and winning will demand another shot.

You can disagree but the fighters know the deal.
