the point is i want to know who is the best middleweight. how do you know that they are best two middleweights? did they defeat andrade? charlo? jacobs? (actually ggg won against jacobs but he shouldnt have deserved to win that fight)

That's not altogether correct imo.
I believe it definitely should be 1-1 concerning GGG/Canelo and GGG already best Jacobs so it's not out of line to say both guys are no.1 and 2 in the division.
Let's see who can win this rivalry with a clear decision.
I would hate for it to be left how it is with question marks still over who really is better.

The question is if GGG does win does it then call for a fourth fight?

Lol dude how can you create your own reality and put out that drivel about the second fight? Canelo did well and did make GGG box on the back foot at times, but we saw that GGG can do that extremely well (as he did in rd 5 I believe; one of the best rounds I've seen by a boxer in a big fight...he got 0/3 rounds on the judges' cards btw...)

So yeah Canelo did much better in the second fight but he still got outlanded by GGG by 30 punches in the first five rounds, yet you say Canelo was dominant in the first 10 rounds - how do you overlook those punch stats and not work that into your narrative?

It is simply put just very hard to legitimately win rounds against GGG. He has a great amateur background and knows how to win rounds, he has great stamina, and he is always scoring with the jab. He usually breaks you down and KOs you. But he still will outwork you and clearly win rounds even if the opponent is game, as Canelo and Jacobs were. None of those fights were really close. The 2nd Canelo fight was the closest but 8-4 to GGG was probably correct, as the punch stats (8-3-1 GGG) more or less indicate.

Thank you for posting this. This forum is so great but too many ggg haters on here. How can anybody not give credit to GGG for boxing so smart and nicely in the second fight. It was close fight but GGG won it. I still believe GGG wins the third one more convincingly so the judges can't rob his deserved victory

Fair call, not that arguably the two best middleweights in the world. Canelo probably confident that he already worked out Golovkin by the second fight. Still though, a dangerous fight and commendable to pursue after the Fielding farce.

No he didn't, and you know darn well he didn't. He proved he was his equal, and they had two close, intriguing fights. Any other perspective is just grandstanding for whichever one of them you like vs whoever you don't.

You can argue that the judges know what they are doing all you like, but history proves otherwise, and not just in this fight.

I'm a boxing fan - not a Golovkin/Canelo fan, and the two delivered a couple of the best fights in recent years - that's all.

Your anti-Golovkin rants are getting old and contrived. We get it - you don't like him, and you'll never tire of telling everyone, but it ignores the reality that these two haven't yet shown who is the better of the two.

And yes, I think Canelo wins the third convincingly - but that doesn't make me a fanboy of his, I just think he's improving while Golovkin is on the slide, and the third fight will show it, giving Canelo a clear edge.
