  • Comments Thread For: Espinoza: Now We'll Start Learning How Good Haney Really Is

One of the things Stephen Espinoza especially likes about Devin Haney is his willingness to accept steps up in competition every fight. The precocious prospect/contender just turned 20 in mid-November. That hasn't stopped the talented lightweight from embracing the types of challenges television executives like Espinoza expect when paying sizeable license fees for content.

Competition is suspect to say the least

Talk about trying to fool the pubic Espinoza is full of ****! Haney is being matched charmin soft especially with his last fight being a guy who fought at 130 and hadn't fought except once in 4 years before Haney and now a prospect from South Africa who hasn't beaten anyone of note and has a shiny record??!! GTFOH!!

Kid looks pretty solid. This should be his fight that gets people buzzing. An undefeated fighter will look very glossy on his record.

I think we are a ways off from finding out how good Haney is, unless he losses, but he's only 20 still so thats to be expected.

And with Loma running 135 right now I think they smartly should take their time moving Haney gaining quality experience & after his first 18(?) bs opponents his trajectory is still moving upward overall even if you can say his next or previous opponent wasn't as good as Menard.
