Why doesn’t Hearn offer Brook for Munguia in Sheffield?

      oh i know he did

but the pre-fight narrative from lil g's fans was that golovkin let brook hit him to entice canelo into a fight...and that canelo was going to be murdered by golovkin...

      LOL

I've always been a fan of Brook's boxing skills, timing and accuracy but just don't know what he has got left. After beating Porter, he should have been facing the big names in the WW division but for whatever reasons those fights didn't happen and he ended up facing Golovkin... in hindsight, this was a big mistake (although he earned a lot of money from it). At his peak, I always though that Brook was a handful for anyone in his weight division but I'm reluctant to say the same anymore. I really hope he's got something left as I can't help but feel that his talent, in his prime may go underrated otherwise.

Why would Brook care about Munguia getting his biggest purse? The question both Brook and Hearn should be concerned with is which fight makes the most money for them both in the short and long term... in the unlikely event this is Munguia then that's likely what they'll do.

Making Jaime rich ain't likely to be near the top of either of their lists of priorities.

'Sides, looks like Kell's missus is having another baby so he could be taking some time out anyway.

I find this so bizarre. Brook has one bad foul filled clinching win over Porter on his resume. Thats it. He's done nothing else. He's a pretty average fighter.

I agree with you I thought Kell had the ability to clear the WW division and after Spence he would regroup and I thought he could have won a title at 154 but now I’m not so sure

I just don't think his heart's in it like before and at the very least, he needs to get back with Ingle.

Maybe try watching the Porter fight again. When I re-watched it, I saw a lot more of what was going on than I originally had. That being said though, boxing opinions can be subjective - just like judging, so if you don't like a fighter, you'll likely always take the more negative viewpoint. It's cool either way.

Hearn this, Hearn that, it takes two to make a fight. But if I was brook then Munguia would be the target at 154 as a beltholder.
