Have you seen Morales vs Zahir Raheem?

Would play out the exact same way IMO with Respects to Morales, he is a LEGEND but certain styles gave him issues

Not so sure. I’d say Morales has tougher whiskers than Postol and Gamboa. Jr. Jones was a great fighter with proper fundamentals. I’d say the Morales that beat Jr. Jones at 135 vs Crawford could be a difficult bout for bud. Postol wasn’t knocked out.

What you guys can't do is take prime Morales and suggest he'd perform the same at 135 as he did 9-13 pounds lighter. Those bigger men, especially the heavier hitters, would take a toll on him.

Morales just isn't going to do anything at 135 but get beaten up badly. That isn't a knock on Morales. Him losing would be like Shane losing to Forrest-a great fighter in a bad matchup.
        Exactly! Agree!

I've seen the Raheem fight, and I already said Crawford will win.

But if he fought at 135 before he was ready to mail it in? He's not getting stopped. Look at Crawford vs Beltran or Burns. In fact, who the hell was Crawford stopping at 135? Gamboa? Who else?

Morales beat Jones at 122. Jones was coming off getting KTFO Kennedy Mckinney like about 9-10 months before if I recall correctly.

He isn't going to fight the same at 135 that he did at 122. Thats more than 10% his full weight added to his frame against a prime Crawford who is every bit the athlete Raheem was with more skill and power.

WOuld be a terrible math cup for Morales no matter how great he was.

As much as I like Morales, Crawford takes this one.

Fair point maybe I am over rating Crawford's power. It was much more than Raheem though.

A KO win is not just about the power of one guy, its about the resistance of the other. Those guys were legit 135 pounders that could take a punch from other LW. Morales, as many have said, was way out of his weight class at 135.

I can't see how Morales survives against Crawford at 135.

I’ve always had Danny Garcia as a stronger puncher with jabs and hooks than Crawford. TC got the straight shots down the middle and reach. But Garcia couldn’t stop Morales at 140. I don’t think there’s any stoppage at 135 with Crawford vs Morales. How many fights did Morales have at 135? I think Morales was a more snapping power than Burns or Beltran.

Crawford actually started looking for the stoppage as he left 135. He got more comfortable sitting in the pocket and started pressuring more. He didn't come close to stopping Burns or Beltran. Doubt he does Morales either. A washed Morales went all 12 vs DSG and Maidana at 140. Don't let the rematch vs DSG or Pacman fights fool you.

Fair point but Burns and Beltran began at 126. Morales began his career at 122.

I can't say you or anyone else is making bad points. EVen if he doesn't get KTFO, its safe to say this is a terrible matchup for Morales.
