I don’t know too much about girl boxing. I don’t follow them. Some of them have skills though.

Serrano is pretty good though, but like she saids, it's about titles, breaking records and her legacy, but her trainer and marketing team will do anything to avoid the real fighters...she's making money, but she'll go down in history as carefully selecting her foes...it is what it is...here in PR, we're waiting for her to challenge Monica Puig for a tennis title match, Lmao!!

She can't understand that's it's not about the titles, its about who you fight and how you fight. Move up and fight the P4P queen at Welterweight and you'll get recognition. Moving down to flyweight means nothing.

Instead of kissing her off Serrano it, might be better to start kissing her ass.

        It’s a guaranteed shot anyway.

She comes across pretty poorly there but maybe it’s just because of how it looks in text,

and serrano sounded like a hater in this article
She's annoyed because she has been in the sport working hard for years and been very succesful, long before Katie Taylor ever showed up.

But she went unnoticed until Taylor brought along her demographic. Now all of a sudden women's boxing gets actual media and network coverage. And not because Taylor is a better fighter or more exciting.

It's understandable how Serrano could see that as unfair and be pissed off about it.

Amanda Serrano is probably the best female fighter in the world, even better than Braekhus, but she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hasn't been able to fight the right people at the right weights to get attention.

Not big enough for the Braekhuses, Reises, Hammers, Shields, but not small enough (until recently) for the Bopps and Barbies of the world either.

Amanda Serrano have the skills to maybe upset Cecilia and Katie Taylor. Katie Taylor is peaking, also improving each fight, If Amanda Serrano fight her right now, she have a change, but, If she fight her later, Katie Taylor is going to win for sure. Cecilia is not the same fighter and she slipping, I am sure this is a winnable one for Amanda Serrano. The problem is, I don't see the confidence she need to risk her hide against those good opponents who are going to elevate her more in her career. When Amanda Serrano finish her fighting career, I like to see her in a exhibition tennis match against Monica Puig. LOL

Great post. I agree with you. Amanda Serrano have to use to the fullest the momentum that female boxing is getting now.

Serrano owes a lot to Taylor. Like AJ and the heavyweights. Or Tiger and the rest of golf. They captured the imagination of a general public and brought attention and money to the sport like never before (female boxing anyway). And the upper echelons of womens boxing can fight and worthy of many a good card.
