Should Jarrell Miller be forced to take a tough fight before getting a shot?

Before he gets a shot at Fury, Joshua, Whyte or Wilder, should he have to prove himself? Say a fight against someone like Breazeale, Parker or Ortiz? I feel like he'd benefit from facing some adversity before stepping in against one of the top fighters of the division. There's no telling if he'd even get past a fighter like Breazeale, and no doubt he'd be the underdog against Ortiz. Doesn't really make sense to me for Miller to get the AJ fight, he doesn't really offer anything competitively, needs more experience.

If it was OK for Wilder to face 30 bums before a title shot then its ok for Miller.

Doesn't really make sense that Dillian Whyte had to fight Robert Helenius for the WBC Silver title, Lucas Browne, Joseph Parker and Dereck Chisora. All four fights many people picked him to lose. And he won all four, tough fights. And yet he's still waiting for his shot and might yet have to fight Dominic Breazeale in a "final eliminator". Yet Jarrell Miller fights a lineup of pushovers and is being lined up for a title shot?

Why did he have to fight them? Only Helenius was an eliminator. Browne, Parker and Chisora were all fights Whyte took voluntarily after turning down final eliminators from the WBC and IBF.

          This right here.

But still, Miller hasn't fought anyone except Gerald Washington who otboxed him until he gassed out.

a fat, out of shape helenius, on 11 days notice, a fat browne who was on anti depressants is hardly impressive stuff.

notice i dont mention parker and chisora because he only won because of a headdbutt knockdown v JP and a gift decision agaisnt delboy.

Miller has fought and beaten guys that Wilder was fighting as world champ....and AJ fought Charles Martin FFS.
But yes In an ideal world Big baby fights Whyte/Ortiz for a shot...

No. That would be nice but not needed. His record is already better than many others who got title shots and he is ranked well into the top 10 best heavyweights by everybody who ranks boxers.

Best move for AJ is to fight Miller at MSG to expose Joshua to the US market & build a Wilder fight. (Whyte does nothing for AJ)
