ESPN’s 2018 FIGHTS OF THE YEAR

    1. Lara-Hurd
    2. Gassiev-Dorticos
    3. Saucedo-Zappavigna
    4. Valdez-Quigg
    5. Wilder-Ortiz
    6. Tanaka-Kimura
    7. Alvarez-Golovkin II
    8. Lomachenko-Linares
    9. Rungvisai-Estrada
    10. Santa Cruz-Mares II

Who would’ve ever guessed Lara would be in a FOTY candidate, much less the winner? Haha And who says Cubans are boring boxers? Three of the top five listed fights featured Cubans. Lol

Anyway, I didn’t get to watch all these, but the ones I did were a lot of fun, if not great. Here’s hoping 2019 brings greater honor to our sport. All the best to the members here in the New Year!

As it should be. That was a good fight that came down to the last round.

It was exciting. Lara pulled a rabbit out of a hat on that one, but it’s a distant memory to me now.

Cubans getting whooped on always is entertaining.

Maybe because it's still fresh in my memory but Fury vs Wilder was FOTY for me. It had all the drama you could want in a fight, just maybe not as much action.
