Comments Thread For: Kid Galahad Hopes Josh Warrington Agrees To Mandatory Fight

Kid Galahad is crossing his fingers that IBF featherweight champion Josh Warrington will honor recent order from the International Boxing Federation, who ordered the two boxers to fight each other. Warrington had a banner year in 2018 - as he unseated Lee Selby to capture the world title and then won an impressive twelve round decision over two division champion Carl Frampton last month.

The IBF has ordered Warrington to fight Kid Galahad next.

Warrington can fight Valdez but if he does he will be stripped of the belt. There will be no unification.

Frank warren won’t want him to fight Galahad, so he will probably end up dropping the belt

Hope this happens. Valdez fighting Tommasone, then I'd like to see him rematch Servania who is in the #1 spot right now, Warrington/Galahad can happen around the same time as that rematch and then the winners can unify.

Might be a good fight. I suppose it has to happen at some point if he's mandatory

Galahad seems the fighter that fights to the level of his opponent. I don't think it'll be an easy fight for Warrington, but on current form you would make him a clear favourite

Move aside, Barry. Josh wants to unify and the fans want to see that before seeing you fight for that strap. Wait until the summer, lad.
