Marquez was legit WBA champ at 112 wasn’t he? I’m sure he was super champ when he lost the unification fight against Viloria.Hell yeah. Very impressive run! I don't count Hernan because I believe he had a WBA regular belt and later lost to the Super champion, but here goes the rest:
Nonito Donaire: 11 champions. Very impressive!
Vic Darchinyan - IBF Flyweight Champion, IBF Super Flyweight Champion, WBA Super World Super Flyweight Champion, WBC Super Flyweight Champion
Moruti Mthalane - IBF Flyweight Champion twice
Volodymyr Sydorenko - WBA Bantamweight Champion (I'm guessing this was before their super titles?)
Fernando Montiel - WBO Flyweight Champion, WBO Super Flyweight Champion, WBO Bantamweight Champion, WBC Bantamweight Champion
Omar Andres Narvaez - WBO Flyweight Champion, WBO Super Flyweight Champion
Wilfredo Vazquez, Jr. - WBO Super Bantamweight Champion
Jeffrey Mathebula - IBF Super Bantamweight Champion
Toshiaki Nishioka - WBC Super Bantamweight Champion
Jorge Arce- WBO Light Flyweight Champion, WBC Light Flyweight Champion, WBO Super Flyweight Champion, WBO Super Batntamweight Champion, WBO Bantamweight Champion
Simpiwe Vetyeka - WBA Super World Featherweight Champion
Ryan Burnett- IBF Bantamweight Champion, WBA Super World Bantamweight Champion
Fantastic run regardless beating a notable amount of multi weight champions. Hopefully Nonito can add a few more to the resume before it’s all said and done.Comment

Depends who is available to fight at the time he was active. If you go back in time there weren't as many divisions and less sanctioning bodies. So it's like comparing apples to oranges. SSR went on a winning streak of over 90 fights. He was
128-1-2, 11 years into his career. It boggles the mind. Chavez had an 87 fight winning streak. Some of the men these guys fought would be a world champion in this era and some of the present champions wouldn't make it into the top 5 in the past. Tommy Hearns is one of my favorite fighters. Don't care how many champions he beat. It's irrelevant to me at least. For example saying that a guy like Mayweather would beat Tommy because he defeated more champions is IMO laughable.Last edited by TonyGe; 01-06-2019, 11:42 AM.Comment

Hearns beat 13: Duran, Cuevas, Benitez, Hill, Andries, DeWitt, Espada, the Thai guy that shares the world title in 3 fights record with Loma etc.Depends who is available to fight at the time he was active. I agree though, you can’t really compare present day fighters resume to those of the past, because there are so many more champions these days. You could maybe compare Lineal Champion’s beaten but that’s about it.Comment

Hell when they first came up, the IBF wasn't even recognized, much less the WBO. I just look at it as a measuring tool. If a guy has beaten ten or more champions in any era, that's very impressive. If you have a fighter who actually did get to a title opportunity and won, then that fighter does something most guys don't, even with all the belts they have nowadays. So beating one of them is special imo. There can be exceptions but overall, a guy who holds wins over ten or more champions is usually great or close to it.Hearns beat 13: Duran, Cuevas, Benitez, Hill, Andries, DeWitt, Espada, the Thai guy that shares the world title in 3 fights record with Loma etc.

Rocky Marciano
Four Undisputed, an IBU, and a British. That's six and only two of them are letter belts.
Given one undisputed is worth four letters that's a total of 18 in the modern era without mentioning bull**** that is not equivalent to a major body belt today.Comment
