  • This is actually a dangerous fight for Crawford, style wise, cause Bud would definitely need a KO because we know he’s not gonna out point Kahn.

So barring corrupt Refs, Crawford could find himself in trouble if he doesn’t get the KO. Secondly, Kahn has never lost a fight on his feet after 12 rounds, and no we definitely don’t count that home-cooked Peterson fight that was marred not only by corrupt officiating but also by artificially elevated testosterone levels.

Crawford saw the landscape for what it was (I refuse to think that Crawford and the folks in his camp aren't intelligent people), and made the affirmative decision to lock himself in with Arum for the next how many years, for an alleged $3m+ per fight.

He secured the bag for himself and his family, but even with all the barking he's done, Crawford has made it clear that he doesn't actually care who he fights (he still has some pride about him, so he will be embarrassed whenever Arum puts a soft touch in front of him, but that won't stop him from depositing the cheque).

Kind of agree but the the about Khan is he was put on the canvas by Vargas in his last fight and Crawford is a lot more slick and powerful than a Samuel Vargas...

1 thing about Bob even as delusional as he can at times, is he knows boxing and he don't put his fighters in with fights he thinks they will lose so he see's something in Crawford probably best he's seen skill wise since being involved with Floyd...

I don’t really think Bob has that kinda eye for the craft to be honest. What I do think is that Bob has lots of control over officiating when he feels it may be necessary.

Look at Pacquiao for instance, as soon as him and Bob started having contact disputes , then all of a sudden he loses to Bradley, in a fight that wasn’t even close. But PAC fought Marquez like a dozen times before the KO, and could NEVER get a decision which was utterly ridiculous considering how close those fights were.

Judging by the current landscape, i struggle to see how Crawford is going to land any big Welterweight fights. It's not even like he or any of the others are big enough stars to the point where one promoter or network can overpay and make another an offer they can't refuse to jump ship for a fight. Although Crawford v Spence or something would be big in the boxing world, it wouldn't move the needle outside of that.

As things stand, this is the kind of opponent we can expect for Crawford for the foreseeable Future.
Hey, it's not a bad fight for Crawford , Khan is a 2x Champ, he's fast enough and if he keeps his chin and body well protected I see him lasting to say well arnd the 7th 8th rd, this should be Crawford's toughest test a WW so far & biggest name.

They later offered Khan a $5 million guarantee to face one of the best boxers in the sport."

That does not make any sense at all! Why would TR offer Khan more money than DSG? Danny went 12 with Thurman and Porter! Khan barely beat Samuel Vargas! WTF?
Look it's like this, Khan is the bigger name internationally , his name pulls more .
