Absolutely not. AJ remains the A side as long as he keeps winning. Wilder must beat AJ to become the A side. KOing Fury will not do that for him. He was supposed to KO Fury but he failed to do so. He would not have become the A side if he had KOed Fury.

I wouldnt say that means Fury is chinny, Wilder visibly hits hard. And knocking out someone doesn’t decides your market value lol. What makes you A-side is the revenue that your name would/can generate for a fight. Hence why Conor Mcgreg could make almost 100m against Mayweather when he has never box before. And someone like Mosley couldn’t make that sort of money against Mayweather.

I still don't see him being the A side against Joshua. He's the guy with 3 belts and the bigger fan base.

Fury-Wilder 2 does close to a million PPV buys in the States. It's a ****ing huge fight.

The Fury knockdown has caught the casual fan. The promo for the fight is going to be insane, the man with the biggest punch in world boxing, against the man who can't be knocked out.

If Fury-Wilder 2 does 1 million PPV buys and Wilder wins, he's a genuine US PPV star. He could then fight Breazele and sell 300-400k PPV buys, which equates to AJ's 1 million in the UK, in terms of revenue.

            Good rule to remember:

Rematches do equal or less numbers than the original fight.

Exceptions are when the profile of the fight and fighters becomes significantly bigger.

Do you honestly believe the fight does equal or less?

Can you name one time a back-to-back rematch did significantly more the second time around?

There's a reason why they don't. We've already seen them mix it up. The mystery is gone.

The only time I can think of is Pac/Marquez III, which happened 3 years later and after Pac fought DLH, Hatton and Cotto.

Exactly. People mistake getting knocked down with having a weak chin and that's not the case here. Fury has been down many times but always gets up. He has a great chin.
