Yes. Spar ANYONE your coach tells you to given he's a real boxing coach. I've worked with 80 pounders and 300 pounders. Obviously with kids you need to simulate the experience for them and help them out. I've worked 4 or 5 rounds, and then coach puts a 13 year old in there. It actually is really good work for them.Comment

thanks. exactly the reason why coach and me came to terms about me just using jabs.depends what you mean by "spar". Drills and messing around are fine but i wouldn't feel comfortable properly sparring with anyone that young. For the same reason i've always found it difficult to spar with females or males multiple weight classes below myself.
I would absolutely never spar with anyone who is 8. They should be practising against other kids under the supervision of a qualified instructor. If they were to get hurt in anyway it would get very complicated and ethically questionable.
You are well within reason to tell your instructor that you are not comfortable with it and refuse to partake.Comment

i always get a sparring sesh with coach before the little ones (older and waaayyy bigger ) i think the only problem i have with this situation was me constantly worrying about hurting them too much despite of me gauging so i am really going to have to talk to my coach about them having more spar time with each other
they're literally about the same ages as my kids
