Other factors can be considered such as weight class (since lower class fighters under 126lbs tend to age faster) and type of boxer as offensive and defensive boxers age differently.

So due to the combination of the above you could have a 30yr old fighter who is older than a 36yr old fighter.
Floyd was ready to fight in 2009 but Pacquiao turned it down just because he was asked to do stricter drug testing.

    Whose fault was that?

        Stop floyd nuthuggers

Look... Floyd is a beast at the sweet science no one can argue that. The problem why people will hate and why he will always have a question mark on his self proclaimed goat, is that once he beat oscar he became money may. Listen nuthugers “money may” he sacrifice the sport and heritage of boxing at that point. And he disserviced the sport of boxing. If you can blame the state of boxing on any man it’s Mayweather. He made boxing into a business first sport.

Do I like his style and appreciate? Pre oscar yes, no one called him a runner. After that, he made it a business. It’s not about hate... when someone calls you a runner, farce, business man etc. there’s a reason for that, he made his own bed and he has to sleep with it. Great for him he made alot of money but at the same time he will have to drink that criticism, and it’s not from “casual” fans nuthuggers, tyson, ray, etc. drink it.

No doubt Floyd is Top 20 ever (maybe Top 15), but I'm not even convinced he beats a prime DLH...that fight was legitimately 7-5 or 8-4 for Floyd. There was no master class. It was a competitive fight.

Floyd beats prime Manny with more authority (and he won comfortably in their fight), prime Canelo if there weights were close (Canelo does poorly with movers), prime Mosley, prime Cotto, and he would have to be the favorite over prime DLH.

There are no missed fights on Floyd's resume. PWill, Margarito, or Kosta Tzu wouldve been nice cushions, but none of those guys rank meaningfully among ATG (Kosta Tzu was mb a Top 10 ever JWW).

Mosley is a hater who is poor and desperate...just the reality :/

Also May, he bucked the system of boxing..., when a boxer worked his way in and closed the distance, he nughugged and grabbed the arm to reset. If a boxer worked his way in and closed the distance, no boxer should be be able to “reset” his position by holding or grabing. May did it and mastered that. Imagine if all great boxers did that, like rjj, he would’ve never got knocked out, just grab, reset, use your speed, keep the distance, and not shell up. May is the great fighter, his instincts are undeniable but because of that, he influenced boxing rules to his advantage.

You can say the same for Canelo and SRL like I always say if u want to nitpick u can find something negative to say about any boxer in history Mayweather still fought most guys coming off thier best wins as well

He asked to fight De la Hoya and Shane much earlier than he ended up fighting them and they didn't want it he also was willing to fight Pacquiao when he was hot but Pac refused to take completely random drug tests until years later

Also we forget Mayweather was in his 30s himself taking on his biggest challenges wasn't like he was 27 28 taking on guys that were 35 36 regularly and he never really intended to fight past Hatton at 31 and probably would have retired then had he been better with his money

Mayweather and Shane ducked each other. First Shane ducked him then Mayweather ducked Shane. The truth of the matter is that Mayweather never fought anyone in their prime. First Oscar fought Shane then 10 YEARS later Mayweather fights him.

We already know that a long time ago. Floyd only fight washed up, old, drained and handicap opponent just like his last two opponent.

Rather Mayweather ducked anyone or not, one thing is for sure. He never fought anyone in their prime. Not one person.

U can say the same for Canelo fought Shane after Floyd did. Finally fought Lara when he was 32-33. Finally fought GGG when he was 35.

Difference is Mayweather was actually older himself in his 30's taking on guys that were in thier 30's. People act like Floyd was still 25.
