Comments Thread For: Wilder Eyes Fury, But Breazeale Would Last 'One To Three Rounds'

Heavyweight Dominic Breazeale crumbled 6-foot-6 Carlos Negron in a neutral corner on December 22 with a head-swiveling overhand right for a one-punch, ninth-round knockout at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. In victory, the 6-foot-7 title challenger known as "Trouble" (20-1, 18 KOs) immediately leaned over the ropes and began shouting at ringside WBC champion Deontay Wilder, who stood and glared back at Breazeale as they exchanged words.

This is like the tenth different picture I've seen of Wilder smiling ear to ear like he was just stranded on a desert island for 30 days and got saved by Jessica Alba, and Fury looking like he's trying to hide his disappointment. Tells a story about who really won, doesn't it?

if you read this article and didn't know the opponents that makes up wilder's record you'd think he's been fighting "killers" all his career

The fact that this guy is the mandatory challenger is sad. Just do the fury rematch then who ever wins fights this clown.

Your comment just reminds me how deluded human beings can be and how much confirmation biased is applied.

Breazeale is rated at #10 by the TBRB and #4 by WBC...he would be a solid fight for Wilder's resume.

I want to see this fight because I think Breazeale could upset Wilder.

I really don't think Wilder wants that smoke again with Fury. Fury schooled him so badly. He had to literally land a punch in the 12th round against a guy coming off a huge layoff and not even close to 100% shape. If Fury is still clean and in even better shape in the rematch, he'll toy with Wilder again - only this time, it'll be for all 12 rounds.
