IT was actually nice to see all of those kayos last night, because usually you'll only have decisions and the fights are very boring anyway. I fell asleep during last week WNF since there hardly was anything even going on!

I dont' aggre with you that most fighters have the same style. I don't know how true or untrue that statement is concerning the 50's - 80's.

most fighter's today stand too straight up, too much headhunting, and have lousy counterpunching. alot like fernando vargas, imo.

Well most boxers' styles are as boring as they can get anyway when I watch ESPN's fight nights. This is one of the reasons why I like Roy Jones so much, because he has a slick style of boxing, but he can get away with his hands being down with lightning fast reflexes. Most people who try to look cute now with their hands down just get cracked.

They're more worried about getting that kayo then just a win. That's a problem with a lot of boxers, they'll come out for the kayo, but they'll gas themselves and end up looking up at the lights.

Most people who don't have anything to do with boxing, when they think of it two names come to their mind. Ali and Tyson. Ali for being claimed the greatest and Tyson being the earios endorsement athlete

But you got to admit, Fernando Vargas style worked for him and honestly i don't see many fighters fighting in the style of Vargas.

I think this is do to them going all out in the beining rounds. What they should be doing is just doing enough to win in the first 4 round then in round 5 and up turn up the heat by putting more power in their punchs or go for the kayo.

If you look at Chavez and Trinidad they always started slow but finished strong and most of the time their opponets were ko'd in the later rounds.

You answered your question. It's boxing. Simple as that. It's a combat sport, a violent sport, it's contact sport at the highest level. They don't like to show it when they don't have to. I bet they even feel ****ty when they do aire their boxing programs. It's like yahoo.com You go to their sports section, and boxing is listed as OTHERS. You can't find it within the mainstream ones for the milk boys. I hate that they do it, though that's life. For America being as violent as we are, it's funny that they don't cater as much to a combat sport as you'd think, instead they prefer to brush it aside and act like it doesn't exist. Sucks balls for the fans.

First round kayos are impressive, but you can usually only do them against someone who isn't talented or someone just happens to get caught with that lucky punch..
