[QUOTE=NearHypnos;19396052]Many unknowingly use. Be it by trusting the wrong people and taking what they give or accidental usage via tainted supplements, which is an actual big issue.

Fighters dont get accused of being the smartest people around and most hire people who are. These personal trainer/nutritionist/strength and conditioning coach types have a lot to gain by making the fighter perform and be in incredible shape.[/QUOTE

Anabolic steroids in ur legal sports supplements is less likely than finding apple juice in ur milk.

Haha, apologies, sometimes humour, sarcasm, etc doesn't proper transfer when written.

I get it now though and obviously those two are good examples of "unknowingly" . . .

Garcia loses a lot more in terms of "legacy" by a loss to Loma than he does with a loss to Spence?

Nothing to do with legacy. Garcia will potentially lose years off his career getting beat up and seriously hurt by Spence.

This isn't GGG being avoided by all the top middleweights until the tail end of his career. Spence is just now entering his prime. Brook stepped up when nobody else dared to, and got his face broken by a still prime GGG. Considering what Spence usually does to much bigger opponents, there is a huge chance that Mikey will not be the same fighter after the Spence fight, even if he miraculously wins. And for Spence, he doesn't gain anything except a paycheck: a Mikey Garcia fight does nothing to prepare him for tough welterweight fights with Crawford, Porter or Thurman. May even set him back, adjusting and training for the smaller man

Actually Spence gains his first PPV exposure and name recognition. In front of the important Mexican fan base.

It's not just about a paycheck.

First random link if you google it. It happens and at a high level. Not necessarily anabolic, but banned substances. That apple juice must happen at least frequently enough for former champs to send it back. :P

              “Unknowingly” happens.

Take it for what you will, but Shane Mosley is an example. Whether you believe he did it knowingly or unknowingly, his story seems to make some sense and he never even popped for it.

BJS thought he was using something legal, which KIND of was. Fighters train and fight and at the top level, they leave the guessing work and the supplements/nutrition aspect to others.

Yes, in Spence's first PPV exposure, he will either be hated by the Mexican fan base for beating up Mikey Garcia or he'll be laughed at and ridiculed for losing to a much smaller fighter. This is why Spence can't lose and the fight cannot go the distance... But I agree, that same base will want Canelo to avenge a Garcia loss...

The goal is recognition. As long as Spence gets his name out there to the people who buy PPVs it doesn't matter whether they like him or hate him.

I want to know what these legal enhancement supplements all these fighters are taking? It’s never mentioned. What sports supplement would u need to have prepared in a compounding pharmacy? They put meds into lollipops or injectables into phlogels for old people. My cat is on advertisements for the local compound pharmacy. He got his oral meds put into a fish tasting paste. Why would u need to take ur creatine, vitamins, or any supplement to a compound pharmacy? I don’t doubt things could get cross contaminated there. But ud better say what these supplements are, and why ur buying them in a form that needs to be compounded. What are these supplements that they believe in so much that are worth taking the risk? If it’s so common then it’s ur own fault. Blaming it on the trainer is so lame. Top pros take anything given to them? No way. Why would u after all the tainted tests then? Legal supplements are sooo good ud risk it? Geez just juice then. Anybody here swear by any legal sports supplement? Protein powder not included?
