Just finished watching Spence vs Peterson again! The fight that Mikey saw something!

It was a beat down! Spence broke down Peterson from round 1 to 7. Spence was phenomenal breaking down Peterson with japs,hooks to the body & then started to pound looping hooks to the head. BUT! Peterson had a horrible game plan & footwork something Mikey will not do. Round 2/3 was probably Peterson best rounds. He caught Spence with straight right hands down the pipe. Something Mikey is expert at! I still see Spence a 70/30 favorite against Mikey but don’t be surprised if this fight goes the distance and Mikey possibly edges it. Mikey best possibilities are to wait for Spence to bum rush him and make it a ugly fight with excessive holding and lots of ring movement. Basically wait for Spence to come in, move laterally find the perfect opportunity to counter a hard 1-2 punch then clinch for dear life, keep that for 12 rds. Make Spence work for the win. Don’t go at Spence make Spence go at you! Spence is fighting in his hometown is the favorite and is the one with all the pressure. Make him come to you(Mikey.) I want to see Spence reaction too when he gets hit with one of those hard right hand clean? Thoughts?

Don’t see his brother / trainer letting him take this fight if they were not convinced they could win
I do believe Garcia can pull this off
The only thing that worries me is the size factor
If Spence begins to lean on Mikey and bully him around
Mikey will not be able to execute anything and thus , far from winning

Spence will squash Mikey like a bug. It won't go 6 rounds and Mikey won't win a single round. Just my opinion. Nobody knows for sure how a fight between to great fighters will go until it's over. MAN DOWN!

I’m one of the few not writing Mikey completely off ( seems like I’m giving along Robert Garcia fighters a chance )

Don’t think the size / power will be too much too overcome for Mikey he’s been sparring the likes of Manny PAC since he was a teenager and routinely sparred Maidana and other top end WW his whole career

Mikey might see something but he’ll have to be damn near perfect for 12 rounds to pull it off. But to me Mikey is one if not the best P4P fighter right now so if you have to give him a shot until proven wrong

Brook did essentially the same thing that you are describing...but he faded late in the fight. Spence probably learned alot from that fight tho. I think Brook had a better chance of winning than Mikey does, but we will see.

what mikey sees is a flat foot fighter that has to stop to land his punches . Mikey is banking on using his foot work and hand speed to out point Spence and kell brook is a garbage fighter
