Women's boxing is not popular so it doesn't make much money and money is what attracts good potential talent. Who wants to get hit for low pay?

Not a lot of knockouts in female boxing making it very boring. You can do more in MMA making it more dramatic.
Holly Holm was a talented boxer but couldn't break eggs. Her MMA fights were way more entertaining than her boxing career.Comment

But why is women's MMA more popular?
Ronda Rousey was one of the biggest sports stars at one point. Who was the biggest female boxer ever? Layla Ali 20 years ago? and mainly because of her last name.Comment

1. The pay wall of boxing always being on pay-per-view doesn't allow casual fans to get to know fighters on a regular basis. Remember how Tuesday Night Fights on USA introduced the world to Mike Tyson, Roy Jones, etc. . ., well there's nothing like that anymore, though I am glad that PBC & Top Rank are putting more fights on, but it's not weekly. UFC always has some programming on Fox or Fox Sports
2. The best fight the best and you don't have to wait because guys are ducking each other. Floyd & Manny waiting 5 years to fight is one of the most disgraceful things in the history of sports.
3. Very few judging controversies. Seems like every week fans in boxing are walking away pissed off by a decision. Either boxing has terrible or corrupt judges or some combination of both.
Apparently, you didn't read the above posts.Comment
